GAWDA launched its 2023 Regional Meeting Season by hosting the Seven Springs Regional in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania, from June 7-8. The newly streamlined meeting condensed the schedule to two days instead of the traditional two-and-a-half to great fanfare, as 250 attendees experienced two days of networking and fun.

“Thank you GAWDA members for supporting the second-highest attendance record ever for the Seven Springs Regional!” said Regional Chair Abydee Butler Moore. “Greg Doria, Allie Earlbeck, Robin Jussila, Gary Halter, Marilyn Dempsey, Rick Schweitzer, and Jay Spielvogel: your willingness to teach, share, and inspire was magnetic. Thank you!”

The event kicked-off on Wednesday with a half-day sales workshop presented by Jay Spielvogelentitled “Amplifying Your Prospect’s ‘Why.'” Then, after a networking lunch, attendees gathered in the resort’s bowling alley for an hour of bowling before going to the resort’s sporting clay range. There, attendees were grouped into groups of four and got to shoot sporting clays at six different stands. After the shooting, attendees got to mix and mingle back at the lodge before returning to the resort for dinner, drinks, dancing and music at the Foggy Goggle.

Thursday kicked off with an educational breakfast as attendees heard from GAWDA ConsultantsMarilyn Dempsey and Rick Schweitzer about compliance issues facing the industry. Then, the world-famous Reverse Contact Booth Program commenced as suppliers got the opportunity to visit distributor booths around the room. Finally, the educational portion of the regional concluded with presentations from Greg Doria, Allison Earlbeck, Robin Jussila, and a GAWDA Update from 2023 GAWDA President-Elect Gary Halter.

After that, attendees were treated to a round of golf at the resort’s course before a networking dinner and cocktail hour at The Mountain Club, which Economy Welding was gracious enough to host.

Thank you all of the event’s sponsors and attendees for continuing to raise the bar year after year.
