Industrial, medical and specialty gas supplier Industrial Source will increase its dry ice production in the first quarter of 2021 with the addition of a dry ice pelletizer to its facility in Springfield. The Springfield location will be able to manufacture up to 1,600 lbs of dry ice product per hour which will be available for distribution to locations throughout Oregon and SW Washington. The increased production capabilities will allow Industrial Source to offer high-quality dry ice products locally at a crucial time when cold storage requirements are anticipated to increase due to COVID-19 vaccine storage and distribution. Industrial Source is currently producing and delivering dry ice to customers across Oregon in the industrial, medical and laboratory, food and beverage, and cannabis industries out of its location in Medford. The new machine in Springfield is scheduled to commence operation in late February/early March of 2021.
Dry ice is used in a variety of industries including safe cold transport in food and agriculture industries, industrial processes, medical and laboratory applications, and Covid-19 vaccine cold storage. “We are a viable resource for vaccine dry ice support in all locations we serve across Oregon. Our team is well-positioned to help provide dry ice for vaccine or any other cold storage needs,” states Industrial Source Sales Manager Paul Haugen. “We are dedicated to working closely with our customers and community to meet their dry ice needs and are prepared to meet growing demand.”
