Butler Gas Announces Jim Steffey’s Promotion to Vice President of Operations

Leadership expansion supports continued focus on safety, service, and operational excellence

Since joining Butler Gas in August 2021, Jim has made a meaningful impact across multiple areas of the business, including technical sales, branch management, administrative continuous improvement, technology systems, and distribution leadership. His promotion reflects both the breadth of his experience and the important role he has played in helping strengthen operations across the company.

Jim brings more than two decades of industry experience to this position. Since entering the industry in 2003, he has built a well-rounded background across customer service, asset tracking, inside sales, cryogenic applications, plant management, key account support, retail, distribution, specialty gases and equipment, and operational leadership. That experience, combined with his leadership at Butler Gas, makes him exceptionally well suited for this next chapter.

In his new role, Jim will lead, manage, and help align operations across Butler Gas’s footprint, supporting the branch and operational leaders responsible for the company’s manufacturing, distribution, specialty gas, retail, customer service, and regional market execution functions. He will report directly to President and CEO Abydee Butler Moore and will work closely with leadership across safety, customer execution, and financial performance to help ensure Butler Gas continues to operate safely, serve customers well, and perform strongly as a business.
