BURBANK, California. September 24, 2026. Terraform Industries and WestAir Gases & Equipment today announced a partnership to supply Terraform’s pure synthetic methane to customers throughout California. Terraform produces the gas from atmospheric carbon dioxide and renewable hydrogen using their Terraformer, while WestAir handles delivery.
Because the gas is synthesized from air rather than drawn from a well or a pipeline, its composition is consistent (>99%) and free of the trace contaminants common in fossil-sourced natural gas such as oxygen, sulfur and other hydrocarbons. The gas is delivered at 2,500 psig and customers can order it in single cylinders or 6-packs, sized to their volume needs. The purity can be adjusted based on the customer’s specific request. This product is a perfect fit for customers who need a clean, dependable methane feedstock or fuel.
“We’re making methane out of thin air, and it comes out cleaner than anything you can pull out of the ground,” said Casey Handmer, CEO of Terraform Industries. “Partnering with WestAir means any customer in California can get it delivered in the quantity and format they need.”
