GAWDA hosted its fourth Regional Meeting of 2026, as hundreds of GAWDA Members visited Seven Springs, Pennsylvania, for the 2026 East/Midwest Regional Meeting which is notorious for being the largest attended regional meeting. This year was no different. The meeting kicked off with an impactful half-day seminar presented by Dr. Vincent Covello, Founder & Director for the Center for Risk Communication, on “High Stakes Conversations.” To learn more from Dr. Covello, check out this interview from GAWDA TV.
Following the half-day workshop, the rest of the day was devoted to fun and networking, as attendees had the opportunity to bowl, as well as shoot sporting clays at this year’s new venue, Shamrock Sporting Clays, before concluding the night with dinner, dancing and axe throwing at The Foggy Goggle.
Wednesday kicked off with Dr. Covello leading a networking breakfast session, before the world-famous Reverse Contact Booth Program. The educational portion of the Regional concluded with amazing presentations from Temple Sloan IV (American Welding & Gas), Nicole Kissler (Norco), Brian Kenney (Messer), and a GAWDA Update from Allison Earlbeck and Justin Johnson. Finally, attendees finished the day with golf at the Highlands Golf Club, and dinner hosted by the Rosenthal Family at The Mountain Club.
A huge shoutout to Butler Gas team for facilitating another successful and engaging regional meeting. Jack Butler mentioned that Butler Gas first started helping out with this regional in the 1970’s.
