Mr. Pontious joined Absolute Air following his initial retirement after a distinguished career with Boise, Idaho–based Norco. A highly respected leader within the industrial gas industry, he was recruited to bring his extensive operational expertise to Absolute Air, including playing a key role in the design and construction of the company’s air separation plant.
Following the successful completion of the project, Mr. Pontious agreed to remain with the organization for an additional three years, providing continued leadership, stability, and guidance during a period of growth.
Effective January 1, 2026, Brad Peterson, partner-owner of Absolute Air, will assume the role of President. At the same time, Kevin Falconer, also a partner-owner, will transition into the position of Chairman of the organization, succeeding Mr. Peterson.
Reflecting on his retirement, Mr. Pontious remarked, “Even if these guys asked me to help build another plant, I’d have to tell them that this time, retirement will stick.”
Absolute Air recently honored Mr. Pontious’s many contributions with a celebratory dinner, expressing appreciation for his leadership, dedication, and lasting impact on the company’s operations and culture.
