AWG Names Temple Sloan IV Interim CEO

American Welding & Gas is honored to announce the appointment of Temple Sloan, IV as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Mr. Sloan, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, brings years of leadership experience from his prior work at AWG and service to our country in the U.S. Navy’s special warfare operations (SEAL) teams. Working closely with the Board of Directors and executive team, Mr. Sloan will guide AWG during its ongoing search for a permanent CEO.

American Welding & Gas is one of the United States’ largest manufacturers and distributors of industrial, medical, specialty and food gases and associated cryogenic products, serving its customers in nearly thirty states stretching from Montana to Florida, Texas to Pennsylvania. Family and management owned since 1949, AWG teammates based in its over 100 retail locations and 22 gas fill plants have the expertise, assets, and supply chain relationships necessary to service large, bulk cryogenic customers as well as small, one-person shops.
